We understand how expensive it is to raise children and we aim to help parents as much as possible when it comes to enjoying affordable childcare.<\/p>

Family Discounts<\/h4>

For families with more than one child attending Seeds to Stars Daycare Nursery, we offer a 5% discount off the eldest child\u2019s place.<\/p>

Referral scheme<\/h4>

If you recommend a friend to Seeds to Stars Daycare Nursery who then signs up their child, you will receive \u00a350 off your nursery fees. Please contact the nursery for full terms and conditions.<\/p>

Funded Early Years Entitlement<\/h4>

We offer funded childcare and education for two to four-year-olds in line with government guidelines. All children aged three and above currently receive 15 hours of free childcare a week and may also be eligible for an extra 15 hours. Some two year olds, are also eligible for free childcare and you can find out more about this on the government\u2019s website, through the council or by giving us a call directly.<\/p>

Eligibility for the Funded Early Education Entitlement Funding applies from the first term after your child\u2019s third birthday and lasts until the last term before they begin school.<\/p>

Childcare Vouchers<\/h4>

Childcare vouchers help working parents with the cost of nursery and are a tax efficient means of funding fees. Under the scheme, each parent can opt to receive up to \u00a3243 a month from their employer as a tax-free childcare voucher.<\/p>

In a two-parent family, this equates to \u00a35,382 a year, and offers savings of \u00a31,866 over the course of the year. These are an employer supported benefit currently, which means you can only obtain the vouchers if your employer currently runs a childcare voucher scheme or is prepared to do so as part of a \u2018salary sacrifice\u2019 package.<\/p>

Childcare Element of Working Tax Credits<\/h4>

Parents may also find that they are eligible to receive government help with childcare costs through the Working Tax Credit System.<\/p>

The amount you would receive if eligible depends on your circumstances, but you must be in paid employment for at least 16 hours per week.<\/p>

The credit can cover as much as 70% of your childcare costs, so it is well worth investigating. You can find out more online: https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/help-with-childcare-costs\/tax-credits<\/p>

Student Support<\/h4>

If you are aged over 20 and studying at college, ask the student support or welfare officer about the Discretionary Learner Fund, which exists to cover a range of costs including childcare.<\/p>

Ask about the Care to Learn Scheme \u2013 you can also call the Learner Support Helpline on 0800 1218989.
